Sans incident, il doit pouvoir dominer Iron d'Espoir, qui vient de figurer à un excellent niveau sur la Riviera. En tête, Izzie Poncelet fait partie des chances régulières pour les accessits, comme Jardin d'Erable, toujours compétitif durant la période estivale, ou encore Jolan Boy, second atout d'Hervé Chauve-Laffay. Hold of Comtal peut tirer son épingle du jeu, s'il est dans un jour faste, comme la vénérable Grande Malice, qui n'a pas de marge
